Random Rambling Musings
Just wanted everyone to get a taste of advertising in Denmark. This particular sign has been assaulting me at every bus stop for a month.

Today I realized how nice it is to know someone well. Whether it's a family member, friend, significant other, pet, whatever - it just feels really good to know someone well. I love the feeling of predicting their actions before they can respond, or knowing their thoughts while they're still in their head, or hearing their words before they have a chance to voice them. It's not only that all of this means someone loved you enough to let you in on their private world. It's also that it's comfortable - you just feel at home. In a house you've lived in for a long time, when you turn a corner, you know exactly what walls, doors, and decor will greet you. It's wonderful to know a person in the same way.
I was letting my mind wander with my music today, listening to Death Cab for Cutie (I like them more each time I listen to the album). I caught a line in one of the songs that talks about a casualty rate of 100%. I decided that the casualty rate everywhere is 100%. In every country, state, city, street in the entire world, every person there will be injured and killed. Obviously, the whole world isn't plunged into a war, or drowning in a murderous cesspool - but I think it's safe to say everyone has suffered or will suffer some sort of injury in the course of their life, and we all know that everyone will die. Wait, I take it back. There is one place where that's incorrect, because Elijah never died - he was taken up into heaven. But would the casualty rate still be 100%? It's reasonable to assume that at some point in his life, Elijah was injured in some way. So maybe the death rate in that area is slightly less than 100%, but the casualty rate still holds.
I hope you've all enjoyed this nice rambling little insight as to how my mind works.
