No Pre-Flight Jitters

So here's my first post on my blog of Denmark. I leave in 3 days, and I'm really excited about going. The closer I get to the day I leave, the more real everything seems. I think 90% of the people that I tell I'm going to Denmark ask if I'm scared. No I'm not scared - it's just Europe. I'm not going to, say, Colombia or any place really dangerous. I'm not even going to be in a real touristy spot. I'll be just like any freshman going to an out of state school, except it will be on another continent instead of in another state. But it's basically the same thing - going somewhere new and unfamiliar alone. And I think I've gained a little maturity from being a freshman once; there's no reason I shouldn't approach the experience with any more uneasiness than a freshman going off to college.

New Year's Eve is tonight - I'm excited. All my options for the night sound like fun. And the day after next I finish packing my stuff and head to Denton for the night before flying out the next morning. I'm so excited! I almost can't believe it actually worked out and I'm spending the next 6 months in Europe.
